The Van Mine

The Van Mine was the largest lead producer in Mid-Wales and for many
years the most productive and valuable lead mine in Britain. Although
generally mines in Mid-Wales have been well documented the Van mine has
not received the attention of mines historians commensurate with its importance
and although this article is not intended as a definitive review it will
introduce theis interesting site to the reader.
